This poem was written as an answer to a poetry challenge for Weekend Writing Prompt #4, Sammiscribbles.wordpress.com, to create a poem with the word Decisive in the body, but in less than forty words. Hope you enjoy.
A river forked, the waters split,
One dark as ink, one sunbeam-lit.
One step to gold, one to grave,
A choice both reckless and yet brave.
The current waits, the tide won’t plead—
Decisive hearts are those that lead.
